17 Ways to Love the Rocks

Xena Poleshuk at domperú

September 20 – October 18, 2026

Artist
Xena Poleshuk
Curator
Darico Hasaya

This fall domperú hosted 17 Ways to Love the Rocks, a solo show by multidisciplinary artist Xena Poleshuk, curated by Darico Hasaya.

Xena works across painting, poetry, research and experimental practice, and here all of it pointed at one thing: rocks. Ordinary stones, the kind you step over without noticing, became a way into bigger questions about time, memory, ecosystems and love. The idea behind the show is simple. If you pay close enough attention to something, it stops being ordinary.

On October 18 we closed the exhibition with a full day. Xena led a tour through the work, premiered a video from her research project Acid Altiplano, and we hosted an international public talk, Conversation with the Earth: Ecosystems and Their Myths.

NINA

The first exhibition at domperú

May 30 – July 15, 2026

Artist
Uriel Montúfar
Curator
Mario Osorio Arrascue

On May 30 we opened domperúwith NINA, a solo photography show by Peruvian artist Uriel Montúfar, curated by Mario Osorio Arrascue.

Nina means fire in Quechua, and fire runs through every image: in the rituals of the Altiplano, in the hearths and offerings of Andean communities, in the old relationship between people and the elements. Montúfar's photographs don't just document these traditions. They stay close to them, quietly and with respect.

The opening was a warm afternoon. Artists, neighbors from Pisac and travelers passing through the valley filled the space, with music and conversation.

For us, NINA was where it all started: the first show in a space we hope will keep growing as a home for contemporary art and cultural exchange in the Sacred Valley.
